Clinstones is a partnership between John Weseman and David O'Brien. John has a background in art, and David in business. In 2007, we decided to combine our talents and offer what we believe to be a truly distinctive and beautiful line of jewelry.
From its earliest beginnings, jewelry has been both ornamental and symbolic. This is still very true today. Consider charm bracelets, Grandmother's pearls or wedding rings. Clearly, these things are made to adorn, but they also carry significance. In this spirit, Clingstones offers and opportunity to wear something unique and eye-catching, but also to serve as a reminder of something you want to celebrate, remember or achieve.
John makes every pendant and rune by hand with exacting care, but still allows for the tiny differences that give handmade items their individuality. All the designs begin as sketches that John makes from scrap clay. Eventually, often after dozens of sketches, a design comes together both visually and symbolically. In one way or another, every piece of jewelry on this site is a reflection of our values, including complete awe of nature and of human potential.
